Area: Forlorn Forest

Location: East Evoliko

History: Forlorn Forest is a sweeping forest located near the outskirts of Verdant Valley, around the base of the Sklarilyn mountain range. The majority of it is atop a large hill, and is a dense, canopied forest with little sunlight and many strange plants. The base of the hill is a less-dense area full of tall trees and flat, grassy areas. Several small villages have set up here over time, but are not found at the top of the hill. Long ago, an ancient civilization used the area for living, farming and their religion. Several temples, ruins and other structures can still be found in the area, often nestled within the cave systems or hidden amongst the trees. There is also a tunnel leading from D.E.R.P. HQ to a small, private area in the outskirts of the forest, near one of the small villages. Recently, the Serbadoun has set up many small factories to produce weapons and to provide power units for [redacted]. Several complaints have been filed to D.E.R.P. about deforestation and chemical dumping, and the Serbadoun is a likely candidate.

Deep within the dense forest, [name redacted], the top seller in the Derpeia Black Market, makes his products. It is believed that many guard bases and traps are set up throughout the passages of the mazelike area. Several attempts have been made to locate his main base, but they have all been unsuccessful.
